Why do Registered Herbicides Provide Variable Weed Control

Herbicides are incredible weed management tools; but, because their efficacy is influenced by plant physiology, weather, and soil characteristics, weed control is variable. Frequently, the reason for less than acceptable weed control with herbicides is outside of everyone’s control. The impact of extremes in weather, variations in soil characteristics, weed characteristics, and application timing will be presented.
