Small Grain and Corn Disease Management – Focusing on Fusarium

Fusarium graminearum damages small grain and corn yields on a regular basis in the Northern Great Plains and Canada. The pathogen is responsible for several diseases in cereal crops including Fusarium head blight (scab) and stalk rot in corn. The presentation will summarize field research dedicated to managing these diseases. The audience can expect to receive updated fungicide recommendations for Fusarium head blight, and understand the importance of using an integrated approach to manage Fusarium in cereal crops.
