2024 was a year to remember with having a prolonged, cool wet start with most of the province receiving >150% of normal precipitation by early June. With the challenging start what did it mean for plant diseases across Manitoba and on your farm? This workshop will review the 2024 growing season and will have hands on table talks in small groups to review live plants and seed samples for disease ID, how and when to scout these diseases, management and rotation considerations going forward. Finished off with a panel to discuss whole farm considerations with examples to think about plant disease and it’s impact through the whole rotation.
This workshop will be tailored to those who signup, after registering a short survey will be sent out to collect the crops grown on your farm, ask about any disease challenges you faced in 2024 and any diseases specifically you would like to learn more about.
