From Haze to Harvest: How Wildfire Smoke Shaped 2025 Weather and the Outlook for 2026
This presentation will look at how wildfire smoke shaped the 2025 growing season and what that meant for farmers and communities. Scott will talk about whether the smoke led to cooler days, less rain, or other shifts in the weather that people may have noticed throughout the summer. We’ll also ask the bigger question of whether smokey summers are going to be our new normal. Finally, he will share a sneak peek of the Weatherlogics outlook for 2026, giving a sense of what conditions might be ahead and how they could affect next year’s growing season.
