Manitoba is one of Canada’s most crop-diverse provinces. Thanks to a climate that supports a wide range of crops, this diversity allows farmers to strengthen rotations, improve nutrient cycling, and minimize disease, pest, and weed pressure. Beyond these agronomic benefits, crop diversity helps mitigate risks from weather, shifting markets and fluctuating finances, protecting both fields and farm finances. In this farmer panel, experienced producers will share their insights on incorporating corn, flax, and sunflowers into their rotations.
