Chris Manchur (P.Ag) is an Agronomy Specialist with the Canola Council of Canada. Chris received his BSc in Plant Biotechnology (2020) and MSc in Biological Sciences (2022) at the University of Manitoba, where in his graduate program studied next-generation fungicides utilizing RNAi in sclerotinia and downy mildew under Dr. Steve Whyard and Dr. Mark Belmonte. Today, Chris is the sclerotinia and research lead for the Crop Production and Innovation team at the Canola Council, where he helps bridge the gap between researchers and producers by helping convert scientific findings to best management practices that can be utilized in canola production. Chris has been involved in the canola industry in different roles throughout his career, and is actively involved in improving the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of Canadian canola growers.
