Brennan Turner

Brennan Turner hails from Foam Lake, SK, where his family started farming the land in the early 1900s. After graduating with an economics degree from Yale University, Brennan played professional hockey and worked as a Commodity Analyst on Wall Street before starting, a physical, cash grain marketplace.

The online and mobile platform effectively replaces traditional and inefficient phone call negotiations between grain buyers and sellers. FarmLead was named one of Canada’s top startups in 2015 and one of Forbes most innovative companies in agriculture in 2017.

In 2017, Brennan was also named to Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. He’s just as comfortable sitting on panels discussing multi-billion dollar problems in agriculture as he is on the tractor moving grain around the farm (although he prefers the latter most of the time).
